BAGS
TOURNEY FOR FAMILIES OF TWO FALLEN LIBERTYVILLE VETERANS
RAISES
MORE THAN $3,000 AT MICKEY FINN’S BREWERY
LIBERTYVILLE – Mickey Finn’s
Brewery on May 17 raised more than $3,000 in support of the families of two
Libertyville fallen war veterans, Sgt. Daniel Nerstrom and Spc. Wesley Wells.
The microbrewery hosted a special Bags
Tourney For Fallen Veterans in which teams paid $50 entry fees. Admission of $10 per person included free
pizza and appetizers. All money raised will
be presented to the families and donations still are being accepted at Mickey
Finn’s Brewery, 345 N. Milwaukee Avenue, Libertyville, IL 60048.
Sgt. Nerstrom served in Iraq while
Spc. Wells served in Afghanistan. Both
soldiers were war casualties and honored Sunday for
their service to our country.
“This was an awesome first year
event supported by awesome people whether they knew the two soldiers or not,”
said Brian Grano, owner of Mickey Finn’s Brewery. “It was a sobering reminder that freedom
isn’t free.”
Sponsors, who also
donated to the Fallen Families fund, included AMME Promotions, Palmieri Personal Training, Joe and Mark Policht, and
Aspen Landscaping, T&T Productions and Mickey Finn’s Brewery.
Mickey Finn’s
Brewery is celebrating one year at 345 N. Milwaukee Avenue, which Grano smartly
renovated. It is located one half block
