Go Hawks!

From what I'm hearing - there will be a few popular places in town tonight to watch the Hawks game - Finn's, Tommy's and Morgan's. I'm thinking Austin's may also be a good place to catch the game - with the warm weather and the new outdoor seating - that may make for some fun.

Whatever you do - make sure it's in Libertyville! If you need help deciding where to go - the Village has come out with a dining guide - you can view the guide online here: Libertyville Dining Guide.

Former Libertyville Police Officer Honored at Statue of Liberty

I don't know how I missed this story last winter - a former Libertyville Police officer was one of six CIA operatives killed in Afganistan last December. Darren LaBonte was honored last week with a service at the Statue of Liberty.

Here's a story from Jim Newton in yesterday's News-Sun: http://www.suntimes.com/news/metro/2367006,CST-NWS-cia08.article

Johnsonville

This really doesn't have much to do with Libertyville - but I came across this story looking for "Libertyville" stories online. If you handy with a video camera - this may not be such a bad deal - Johnsonville Brats is giving away $3,000 in grilling equipment - click on the link to see the details.
